I have created a 3 step nutritional system to achieving good health, creating fast, sustainable results.
Put very simply, it’s like hitting your body’s reset button. A cleanse is a great way to give your body a break from unhealthy food choices (let’s be honest, we all make them), dehydration and general excess. Even if you’re a pillar of exercise, purity and clean living, we’re all exposed to unavoidable environmental pollutants on a daily basis. A cleanse is the ultimate health MOT, and it works wonders on both mind and body. Post-cleanse you instantly feel more energetic and alive and will eat more mindfully.
The cleanse has helped give your body time to eliminate the necessary wastes; now it’s time to rebuild healthy tissues and regain energy. The diet after the cleanse takes 2 to 4 weeks of healing and works from the inside out.
This second step of our lifestyle system is your roadmap for healthy eating. You should continue to eat wholesome, nourishing food every day whilst giving your body a break once or twice a week with a juice fast. No counting calories or complex plans, just simple sensible nutrition to rejuvenate the whole system.
After the rejuvenate step, you will feel fantastic and will have learnt the basic tools, recipes, ideas and know how to eat lean and green for the rest of your life. You will now have a better understanding of what foods help you feel great, alive and vibrant and will be less likely to make poor food choices that make you tired, lethargic, grumpy or emotional.
I understand however, that most of you will still eat meat, dairy, wheat and sugar, you will still drink tea, coffee, alcohol, not drink enough water and not get enough sleep from time to time, and thats perfectly normal. Therefore, we encourage you to continue with the rejuvenate step about 80% of the time giving you a realistic life balance.
I love the idea that food is what builds our bodies, that it can be the answer to our ills, and that if we eat nutritious foods we wont need medicine, however studies published over the last 15 years show that much of our produce is much lower in phytonutrients, and minerals than we believe. Even organic, fresh foods can be lacking in essential nutrients due to modern farming methods and the delay from field to plate. So its important that you continue to incorporate juicing into your diet and/or drink your mattsupps greens everyday.
Simply by continuing to add a juice and/or mattsupps greens each day, you’ll boost the oxygen supply to your cells through the concentrated chlorophyll and you’ll alkalise your digestive system which will help you to absorb the nutrients in your food much more efficiently.
